The 4 Paths of Enchantment: Walking the Labyrinth

travelogue-aboutbanner

Not too long ago when I unveiled a short little film of my morning ritual I asked an important question at the heart of how I’ve chosen to live and create:

“What does it take to live a truly enchanting life?”

It was a question I posed to the universe even though deep inside, I must have already known the answer. And it was simple, and beautiful and magical to finally unearth it from deep within my consciousness. And as with most soul truths, it was something I was already deep in practice.

Why is it important to create and live an enchanted life?

Because life isn’t always enchanting. But it’s during these vulnerable moments of disenchantment-a painful diagnosis, a long day at work, a sudden loss-when we most need to be reminded of all the ways we can live fully and magically.

It doesn’t mean not ever feeling darkness or despair, but to recognize our need for rapture. For awe. For soul-stirring love, and deep reverence for the unknown.

I’ve often wished I had a Field Guide that would show me the way. Because it’s so easy to slip into comfortable vicarious living through others and never exploring for ourselves, never knowing it tangibly. I pictured this Field Guide guiding us on an enthralling journey through a magical labyrinth, passing through the four quadrants of enchantment : Wonder & Curiosity, Magic-Making, Truthfinding and The Secret Garden of Inspiration, showing me the wonders of each experience.

This Travelogue is that Field Guide, a promise of more to come. As you begin your way-finding, you’ll discover tales of my past adventures, explorations and stumbles in my unconscious search for enchantment, filled with random moments of magic. I believe this to be true of the journey and I’ve kept it around. From today onwards travelogue entries will unfold a little differently as I discover better ways of sharing what works for me while helping reawaken your explorer spirit.

How to use the Travelogue

4ways

Which of the 4 Paths are you drawn to the most right now?

Think about what you might be missing in your life and want more of.

Are you spending all your time consuming inspiration (The Secret Garden) and not enough time creating something original (Magic-making)? Are you taking online courses on meditation instead of just walking to the park for some quiet time? (Wonder & Curiosity) Perhaps you are guilty of Pinning to 50 different boards of what you like (Truthfinding) but not turning anything into a real life project? (Magic-Making)

What are you secretly guilty of? Tell me below!
