FAQ ABOUT PEEKABOO! & THE CURIO SHOP

Please refer to the main Shop page for order-by datelines and shipping methods for US and International deliveries by 25th December 2020.

Items ordered during Holiday Curio Shop popup will be shipped within 2 weeks.

We will try our best to get your gift delivered in a timely manner as long as you order within the specified holiday dates, but it is an unusual year, so any delays once it leaves our hands is unfortunately beyond our control.

To save shipping time, have us send your gift directly to the recipient. All holiday orders will be beautifully gift-wrapped in our special custom art tissue. Let us know who it's for and we'll include a special hand-painted name tag.

Custom-framed works on paper will not ship in time for holiday gifting.

What is Peekaboo! and how does it affect my purchase?

Peekaboo! is a magical window of time when a few special things happen : Firstly, the secret door to the Curio Shop opens, and my latest creations are available for collecting! The other Special Thing To Happen occurs only when Peekaboo! unveils a brand new collection. This is cause for celebration of course, and includes immersive audio or videos on the story, symbolism and creative process behind the collection. It's a feast for the imagination and you can experience past events here at the Art Gallery. Another thing of note: due to the experimental and spontaneous nature of Peekaboo!, it's never certain when Peekaboo! will happen and what pieces will be available, or if it will become available again. So if you've fallen in love with something from the Curio Shop, don't wait, especially if it's an original! I can't guarantee that it will be available the next Peekaboo!

How long will it take before it ships?

Because a Collector's Peekaboo! is typically 1-2 weeks long, all assembly, packing and/or production of purchases begin only when Peekaboo! ends (I'll usually announce how long it runs in the invite email) This allows all made-to-orders to finish coming in so that I can give your purchases the focused, loving attention it deserves to make sure it gets to you as beautiful as you imagined it.

Thus, once Peekaboo! ends, depending on your Curio ordered, please allow approximately 5-7 business days before your purchase ships. I'll send a confirmation email with a tracking number to let you know as well.

For Made-To-Order items like Explorer's Pouches (and Adventure Kits) please allow for production times of at least 2 weeks, unless stated otherwise.

Decks ship weekly and an email with label/tracking will go out within 5-10 business days depending on your day of purchase (i.e if you missed the week's shipping day). Note that USPS pickup may be a few days from when shipping label is created.

Estimated shipping dates for Pre-Order items will be as indicated in the listing.

If your purchase includes customization, like framing or personal details, there might be additional time needed to get it ready. Note that original art with custom framing by Framebridge (see individual listings) will ship directly from them (securely packaged) within 1-3 weeks.

Ready-to-hang original art will ship within 1-2 weeks of purchase, to ensure that it is lovingly and securely wrapped and sent.

How will it be shipped?

All smaller-sized original art and reproductions will be well-packed and shipped with insurance and tracking number via USPS, UPS or FEDEX. Smaller items may ship in a Priority flat rate box via USPS. Larger, high-priced original art will be packed crate-style and ship with insurance and tracking via UPS or FEDEX only. International orders will ship via USPS. A customs fee may be needed before it can be delivered and will not be covered by your shipping cost.

Is there a return policy?

I stand by my work and want you to be absolutely enchanted. If for some reason you're unhappy with your purchase, please reach out so that we can discuss how best to remedy it. In the unfortunate event that your purchase arrives damaged from shipping, please contact me immediately and I will make arrangements for a replacement or refund. What's the story behind Peekaboo ?

When I first started creating personal art, it was extremely rare for me to have any of my creations for sale, let alone my experiments, studies and whimsical creative detours. I received many wonderful requests to buy them but I wasn’t ready to open an online boutique or have a live show. I started thinking, why not hold a one-of-a-kind, online gallery opening just for my kindred spirits? Wouldn’t that be fun? I wanted it to be an intimate gathering that brought some of my favorite people into my world to see not just my creations, but experience the meaning and creative process behind them. This became Peekaboo!, the art and storytelling event. With the new Curio Shop I've retained Peekaboo! as a special way for me to celebrate the story and symbolism behind my art and the best way to collect my art online. LIKE ITS NAMESAKE, PEEKABOO! IS SPONTANEOUS, RAW, REAL, AND ALWAYS A SURPRISE. Just as if you were to visit my studio in person, my hope is that you’ll enjoy being a part of my always delightful and often unexpected artist realm, to have your imagination tickled and your senses awakened.
