A New Beginning, A New Enchantment

A New Beginning, A New Enchantment

There are a hundred shades of green outside the studio window, wildflowers and forests all around, love and laughter every evening with family, delicious local butter, crisp New York apples, handmade lamb sausage, thunderstorms! Life has turned a rich technicolor hue since we landed in Upstate NY's Finger Lakes region where we now call home. We've fallen in love with our new house and the countryside that surrounds it. Already, summer in twenty years of living in this country has never felt so vivid and beautiful, even though we've yet to weather the cold northeastern winter.
It's been just over a week since we've been here and we're deep in the glorious rituals of rooting and nesting, finding new ways to connect with the land everyday - leisurely country bike rides, wandering through local gardens, evening wonder-walks through town.
Last night, as the moon rose round and glowing above a violet sky dotted with pink clouds and the crickets began their nocturnal orchestra, my heart swelled with a contentment I haven't felt in a long time. It made me pause to reflect on what I truly treasure in our one wild and precious life and how grateful I am that we were brave enough to make the grand leap towards it.

"Thank you Amy for your beautiful work and for your spirit. I don't even know how long I have been on your list but I am so glad I am. I feel nourished and awakened after reading, looking and listening to your work. I even learned about the Narwhal which I never knew existed. I love when my world opens up a bit wider. Astonishing! Thank You! I look forward to my next wonder walk."
