Wonder-Walks and Fun-Rides

Julia Cameron is a genius. Morning pages do it again and I recently tried something previously scary and new-I took my bike on the bus down to West Hollywood for an adventure!

Here’s a toolkit of essentials for such wonder-walks and fun-rides:

Inside.

Inside.

It is a great way to exercise the five senses, keep a record of everything you see/touch/taste/smell/hear and the muses will be calling! Because you are on your bike, there’s much more ground covered and the medley of tickled senses is all the more rich!

A Kit for Play

Here’s a sample of my encounters:

1. The lovely mouthwatering smells of grilled famous Pink hotdogs, an Indian Tandoori and miscellaneous restaurant scents.

2. An interesting and mysterious rotating wheel sculpture at a tire company.

3. Juicy mexican sliced fruit peppered with chili, salt and lime from a streetside vendor!

4. Two vintage shops-a furniture and a clothing store that I haven’t noticed before!

5. Getting scolded by an older woman for blocking the sidewalk with my bike.

6. Felt the bumps and dings on the sidewalks reverberate through the bike to me…
